Back at the start of COVID, like many others, my businesses were forced to shut down. With unexpected time on my hands, I started working on bikes in my garage—at first just to stay busy. Then neighbours began dropping off broken and unwanted bikes. I fixed them up and gave them back to families in the community.
What started as something small quickly became something much bigger.
It was never really about the bikes—it was about people. The connection, the appreciation, and the impact it had on families during a difficult time changed how I saw everything.
That same community showed up for me again when I transitioned into real estate in 2024.
With over 20 years of experience in real estate investing and renovations, the move felt natural—but it was the trust from the community that accelerated everything. Nearly 40% of my business has come from people connected to that bike program—friends referring friends, families trusting me with one of the biggest decisions of their lives.
Early on, I was able to build momentum quickly, closing multiple deals and awarded Rookie of the Year at my brokerage meanwhile earning a 4.8-star client rating—something I don’t take lightly.
Today, I bring that same mindset into my real estate business: no shortcuts, no compromises—just a disciplined, hands-on approach focused on delivering the best possible outcome.
The bike program is still going strong—not for business, but because it matters. To date, hundreds of bikes have been restored and placed back where they belong, instead of ending up in a landfill.
Because at the end of the day, this has always been about people.
